Top 5 reasons why you should exercise

Being an adolescent with pimples or acne is difficult. But it is not as difficult as being an adult with acne. When you're a teenager with pimples, it is understandable because the hormones that are running in your body make your skin produce more oil. It's true that you need some oil to lubricate your skin, but not that much. This way it's easy for your pores to get blocked with the extra oil, become infected with bacteria and form a pimple. In case of adult acne, it is not known why it appears.
But the general believe is that there are several things that influence it. For example, your diet might have an influence on your acne, or maybe the way you clear your skin or perhaps you have hereditary acne. As you already know, pimples have different sizes and emerge on several parts of your body. There are the small ones that only take a day or two to go away or larger pimples that are very painful and become infected under the skin surface. Acne appears more often on the face, but it is also usual to have it on the neck, back, shoulders, chest, and other parts of your body. No matter how small or big they are or where they appear, we should all know that all pimples are infections. One thing is important in the fight against acne: you should always keep your skin clean.

Sweat cleans your pores from inside

A good way to clear your pores and your skin is by exercising. If you do it on regular bases, it can help minimize stress and raise oxygen penetration and blood circulation to the skin, which may help you to avoid acne. Exercising also helps your internal organs by keeping them fit. A good cardio-vascular system gets oxygen around your body more efficiently. Also, all the other organs will work better to get the necessary nutrients out of the food you consume and get toxins out of your body more quickly. As the blood flow increases, so does the amount of oxygen that feeds the skin cells. Exercising makes you sweat. This is a good way to help your skin clean itself from the inside. Also, it helps at reducing and preventing further outbreaks of acne. You don't have to do too much exercising or get involved in a sport you don't like. Find a sport that you enjoy and practice it on regular basis. Also try to exercise in the open air, because sunshine and fresh air will diminish your acne. One of the recommended sports is swimming, which is particularly good for acne because you're in water and your pores are cleaned from the inside and also from outside. Just be careful to thoroughly wash the chlorine off your skin as soon as you finish. For the other sports, is also highly recommended to wash when you're finished, because sweat is the perfect environment for the bacteria to grow in. This is particularly imperative if you have acne on your back and chest.

Exercising builds muscles

Exercising does not only help you sweat but at the same time it builds up your muscles. And the more muscles you have, the more energy your body will use, so you will burn off more carbs. People with more muscles burn more carbs. Also, when you exercise, your muscles prefer to use carbohydrates for energy. When you're out of carbs to burn, your body starts burning fat instead. This will not happen so easily as the amount of carbs stored by your body could help you finish 3 marathons before it will end. Burning fat is a good thing as the fat in your body is stored in the cells. Having clean cells means having clear, healthy skin.
When you exercise, your body burns carbohydrates and fat. Carbs are the first ones to be burned. When you do high-intensity exercises more carbs are consumed compared to low-intensity exercises. After the carbs are out, fat follows. One important thing you should know: not all fat is necessarily used during exercise. Your body looses fat even in the hours after the exercise is completed. And the amount of fat oxidized after your exercising session is ending depends, in part, on the intensity of the exercises. If you follow high-intensity exercise, more fat is burned than following low-intensity exercise. So, even though you're using carbohydrates during the high-intensity exercise, you will lose more fat after exercising.

Keeping low blood sugar level

As long as your body burns carbohydrates, your blood sugar level will be reduced. Why, you ask? Because when we ingest carbohydrates our body starts producing insulin. If the carbs are burned slowly, the insulin level is down and so is the blood sugar level. But when the ingested carbs are metabolized fast, more insulin is produced, meaning our blood sugar level increases. If the blood sugar is high, more oil is produced. And most of the times this produced extra oil clogs the pores of the skin creating the perfect place for bacteria to grow in. Bacteria produces infections and infection is nothing else than acne. The conclusion would be: more exercise means more burned carbs which helps decrease blood sugar level, consequently preventing oily skin and acne.

Exercising and bowel movement

Exercising is also a great way to help your bowel movements. The more you exercise, the more bowel movements you'll have. This is because when you exercise your body quickly metabolizes the food you eat, meaning you'll have a bowel movement sooner then you expected. Whilst if you have rare bowel movements, the fecal waist accumulates in your colon and at the same time creates an ideal place for bacteria, viruses or parasites to grow in. The colon soon begins to poison itself. At the same time, the poison accumulated in the colon is passed to the blood. The blood carries it to all the cells in the body, including skin cells, and the end result is acne. So, you should exercise more for helping also with your bowel movements.
Exercising also helps you with rebalancing your hormones and reducing stress, both of them being predecessors of acne. When you have acne you're always stressed about the way you look and also your self confidence is not at high levels. Being in shape and good at sport will also help out your mental comfort. Also, we should know that exercising releases endorphins which make us feel happier. Exercising on regular basis will help diminish your acne and allows you to manage it better. You'll never see a sport practitioner with acne or being unhappy. They all have clear skin and big smiles on their faces.

Everybody wants to look good nowadays. Some people go to the gym, other people jog, and many people practice sports. Exercise is good for your skin, because it helps pores sweat, it's good for keeping you blood sugar low, it's good for bowel movements, and of course, it's good for the muscles. At the end of the day, you will look good both on the inside and on the outside.
